For better mental and physical resilience

Chi Zone for Young People

Sessions for greater calmness, balance, self-control, emotional stability and individual resilience.

For young people aged 7-16 years to learn how to clear, rebalance and control their physical and mental energies using Chi movements and sound. Natural techniques to de-stress and recharge.

Students will learn Chi movements, sequences of Chi Squares ® (non-contact martial arts movements), breathing exercises and meditation.

Live pianoscapes (music) are used to help relax, clear and rebalance mind and body. Students will also be guided to use their voice and sound to encourage relaxation and inner growth.


5 Week Starter & Continuation Programmes

Every half-term we run 5 week programmes with 45 mins classes and a maxmium of 6 participants.


In-person Sessions

We run in-person sessions on Saturdays at The Chi Zone in Poundbury.

We also welcome parent/guardian participation in this class alongside their child should they wish. In this case, please book and pay for a space for both child and adult. This can be a very positive way to improve both child and adult’s health and rebalance energies together.

Course Instructor

The Chi Zone for Young People sessions are led by Françoise Ha, an experienced and qualified teacher, musician and Chi Practitioner. Françoise has an enhanced DBS Clearance.

Françoise is a member of Complementary Health Professionals and the Incorporated Society of Musicians and has professional liability insurance.

Programme Schedule

We offer continuation courses and additional new starter programmes during each half-term.

Our programmes start again in September and cost £45 per person for 5 weekly sessions. There is a maximum of 6 participants per in-person session.

My girls and I have been coming to the Chi sessions with Françoise for a while now.

It’s not something we’ve done before but they are tailored to our own pace and we definitely feel more energised and centred afterwards.

The exercises we learn can be used throughout the week and can help to calm and de-stress after a long day at work or school.
